i like stories. specifically people's life stories. especially when you sense their genuine desire to have you hear them.

see them.
know them.
live in the moment with them.
go deeper with them.

cause when we really get down to the basics of life, we can't go it alone.

we weren't meant to.
our inner selves scream community
and a deep rushing current of being known, understood, felt, believed, valued, connected.

its worth the energy. the struggle. the disappointment and pain. the challenge of being vulnerable. of opening.

we don't always get it right. and we aren't always able to hear. or take in the significance. or recognize the effort.

but the joy is enough. it makes it all worth it. it makes life have a purpose. for a small moment we get it. and its unbeatable.

i hope that in life i get better at hearing people. at 23 i think that's an ok goal. besides then, you're more interesting when you're old if you have lots of stories. and you have more patience to listen.

cause it's about people.
living with them in their stories.
delighting in them.
and holding onto that joy.
